Summary of the story

The Doctor saw Rafael for the first time, when he was twelve years old on

His boat house, Rafael was then young man who wears a golden fish ring around his neck saying: she gave it to me”. After twelve year the doctor decided to help crazy Rafael and take him to a hospital in the capital. This the side of Rafael story told by the doctor’s uncle that when Rafael was eight years old his father was killed by shark in front of his eyes and when Rafael become a young man he took revenge by killing many sharks.

Rafael and Anita fall in love but her father does not want a poor fisherman to be Anita’s husband. Anita ran away perhaps with Carlos (the soldier) at that time Rafael went mad. Rafael tried again to marry Anita in fact he bought her gold ring but her father refused him again. The doctor was questioning who might kill the soldier and Anita; He thought that Rodrigo might kill both of them. One year later a note from Rodrigo the shopkeeper sent to the doctor to come to the village because Rafael is very ill. The doctor took Rafael to the hospital because he was very ill with tuberculosis and he died six days later.

Conclusion

Rafael brought her gold ring. It was like the magic ring in her story. Then the soldier came to the village he was much more exciting than Rafael. Anita thought Rafael was very boring. She stopped meeting him and speaking to him. So Rafael planned to kill the soldier, then he broke the boot then the shark eats both of them. Finally, Rafael went mad since.

My Opinion

The Ring a good book, I advice the people to read it and enjoy and I didn’t like it because Rafael didn’t marry Anita.
